Glitch art is visual art that involves or is caused by digital glitches or errors. (there's some debate over this, but for our discussions, we won't include art that simply "looks glitchy" it has to involve real glitches.) not all glitch art is databent sometimes it occurs naturally. Hardware and software fail all the time, occasionally creating glitch art. let's talk about creating glitches on purpose-using databending techniques to create glitch art. here's how it works: you take a digital photo like this: The wordpad effect is a simple glitch effect i discovered a couple years back, with the help of my readers. Pretty dramatic results, eh? is it really that simple? well, almost. if you're thinking there has to be a catch, you're right, but it's not a big one. The catch is this: the wordpad effect generally only works on certain types of image files. ![]() specifically, it only tends to work on uncompressed bitmap files-the formats i use are BMP, TIF, and my favorite, photoshop RAW. if you try to use the wordpad effect on a compressed image file, such as a JPG or PNG file, the file will most likely break. this is because the wordpad effect is highly destructive-it often adds lots of glitches-and file compression tends to make files fragile-difficult to glitch without breaking. ![]() ![]() In 1959, Plymouth introduced the Sport Fury as its top model, and the Fury as its second from the top model to replace the Plymouth Belvedere at the top of the regular Plymouth line-up. This engine was bored to 361ci in 1959 and was available in different setups starting with a single 2-bbl carb. The Golden Commando engine was optional on any Plymouth Plaza, Savoy, Belvedere, Suburban and Fury. A rare option with fuel injection was available but was recalled by the factory. ![]() In 1958 there was an optional engine called Golden Commando with 361 ci and also with 2 × 4-bbl engine it gave 305 hp. The Fury had a special interior, bumper wingguards and a 2 × 4-bbl setup engine. It was sold only as an off-white 2-door hardtop coupé with gold anodized aluminum trim in 1956, 1957, and 1958. Since the Fury name perfectly described the car, he chose the brand for the novel. The Fury was a sub-series of the Plymouth Belvedere from 1956 through 1958. This sequence made it impossible to accommodate what was being released by the auto industry. The reason for all the errors was explained by King: the author wrote the middle part of the story first, and then he wrote the beginning and end a few years later. True Plymouth fans know the 1957 Fury only came in beige with gold trim. Also, Christine was red and white in color. However, the 1957 Fury was only available in a two-door hardtop. First, the novel refers to Christine as a four-door vehicle. “Christine” TriviaĪs happens often when books are adapted into movies, on-screen “Christine” differs a bit from her paper-bound counterpart. Today, only three cars from the film are known to still exist. The car was attached to cables and pulled through the wall. The final scene concluded with Christine crashing inside a garage. Stunt drivers were given small viewing windows within the black tint that signaled the car’s evil mood. No remote controls were used to drive Christine. Christine rolled off the assembly line as a feisty and evil red car ready to create havoc. From the opening shot, this car played an important role in the film. All cars were painted red and given matching interiors. More than 20 Plymouths were used to film the movie “Christine.” Belvederes, Savoys and Fury models were used during the filming process. The solid front suspension provided great handling as well. ![]() The 1957 Fury contained Chrysler’s new three-speed TorqueFlite transmission with push button controls. It had the powerhouse V-800 engine, which delivered 290 horsepower, as well as an automatic transmission. Besides these features, the excitement was contained under the hood. The 1957 Fury was approximately one-inch longer than the previous year’s model, and standard equipment included padded dash, foam cushion seats and variable-speed wipers. The plot centered around a car that had a mind of its own. All vehicles shared similar characteristics and were highlighted in the movie based on Stephen King’s thriller novel. Today we feature the 1957 Plymouth Belvedere from the Movie “Christine”.Īlthough the the movie “Christine” included a 1958 Plymouth Fury as its main character, the film interchanged the vehicle with 1957 Fury cars and other Chrysler models. Mighty Goose has been a hotly anticipated part of the upcoming PLAYISM catalogue for quite a while. You can have a look at the latest trailer for the game just below. You’ll be tasked to sling bullets, jump into war machines, and bring all of your goosy viciousness to the fight as you take on enemies, robots, and powerful bosses either alone or in local co-op with a fellow gatling goose. For the uninitiated, you play as a bounty hunter goose named… Goose… as you take up arms against the armies of the galaxy’s most dangerous criminal, the Void King. Mighty Goose is slated for a launch on Jfor PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The release date announcement trailer for Mighty Goose was recently launched on the PLAYISM YouTube channel. Mighty Goose got a new trailer which revealed a final release date set in early June 2021. The devs and publisher are finally nearing a finish like for launch on the game. For quite a while now, PLAYISM has been supporting Blastmode and MP2 Games in getting a delightful looking pixel run ‘n gun title Mighty Goose ready for play. ![]() Not to mention the fact your goose puts on a pair of sunglasses for no coherent reason when riding these vehicles. If you thought 2021 would be any less full of geese in gaming, you thought wrong. I really liked how the game just allows you to order one of them whenever you’re able to afford them during any section in any level. Upon booting Mighty Goose up for the first time, there is a chance you will die right at the second enemy encounter. It takes the art style, animations, and gameplay from SNK’s masterpiece of an action series, tweaks it a little bit with brand new features, adds a brand new avian protagonist, and jacks the framerate and pacing up to numbers beyond the realm of human comprehension. Similar ORR were seen in the general population.Īdverse events were similar in both trials, and were as expected given the adverse events profiles of the single agents. Among the patients with PD-L1–positive tumors, the objective response rate was 55.2% (95% CI, 49.0 to 61.2) with avelumab plus axitinib and 25.5% (95% CI, 20.6 to 30.9) with sunitinib complete response rates were 4.4% and 2.1%, respectively. A similar statistically significant increase in PFS was seen in the general population. Among patients with PD-L1 positive tumors, the median PFS was 13.8 months (95% CI 11.1 – NE) with avelumab plus axitinib, as compared with 7.2 months (95% CI, 5.7 to 9.7) with sunitinib (HR 0.61 95% CI 0.47 to 0.79 P<0.001). In the general population, death from any cause was seen in 63 patients (14.3%) who received Avelumab-axitinib and 75 patients (16.9%) who received sunitinib. There was no statistical difference in OS between the avelumab plus axitinib and sunitinib groups regardless of PD-L1 status, likely due to the low number of events in this trial. ![]() 63.2% of patients had PD-L1 positive tumors. In the JAVELIN Renal 101 trial, 442 patients were assigned to the avelumab plus axitinib group and 444 were assigned to the sunitinib arm. The hazard ratio for death in the pembrolizumab plus axitinib group was 0.53 (95% CI 0.38-0.74 p < 0.0001). The median overall survival was not reached in either group, however the estimated percent alive at 1 year was 89.9% (95% CI, 86.4 to 92.4) in the pembrolizumab–axitinib group and 78.3% (95% CI, 73.8 to 82.1) in the sunitinib group. Roughly 60% of patients had PD-L1 positive tumors. There were no major differences in baseline characteristics between the two groups. In the Keynote 426 trial, 432 patients were assigned to the pembrolizumab plus axitinib arm and 429 were assigned to the sunitinib arm. Patients were stratified according to IMDC risk score (a composite score of functional status and laboratory values), region, and PD-L1 status. A key secondary endpoint in both trials was objective response rate (ORR) as defined by RECIST v1.1. In the JAVELIN trial, the primary endpoints were OS and PFS in the PD-L1 positive cohort, OS and PFS in the overall population were secondary endpoints. The primary endpoints in the Keynote 426 trial were progression free survival (PFS) as defined by RECIST v1.1 and overall survival (OS) in the entire enrolled population. Central nervous system involvement was a key exclusion criterion. Both trials enrolled newly diagnosed metastatic RCC patients over 18 years old with a functional status of ECOG 0-1. Still, just for fun we came up with a list of other words Lil Wayne could’ve used instead of “lasagna” that do have silent “g”s in them to avoid confusion, like:Īnywho, what are your thoughts? And, even if the content of the line is slightly incorrect, it’s still a hot line. I honestly think people have WAY too much time on their hands. To further confirm, though, I went ahead and asked a couple of the Italians and Italian-Americans at the Billboard office for their opinions, and they all agree the “g” in “lasagna” is silent. The thing is, Italian is considered an Italic language, so, does it apply? I’m officially confused. The “gn” combination automatically makes the “g” silent in words with an Anglo Saxon origin. This doesn’t really affect the bar, but should hopefully clear up the bastardized English lessons being tossed around this thread.”Īccording to, Lil Wayne is sort of right. The “GN” in the word gives the last syllable it’s “y” sound. It would be “la-sa-na”, which is obviously wrong. “If the G wasn’t there, we wouldn’t pronounce lasagna like we do. No, you don’t hear the typical G sound, but “GN” changes the end of the word,” he said on a forum on. “The G isn’t technically silent, as it changes the way the last syllable is pronounced. Others have gone as far as to give a grammatical English lesson about the “g” in “lasagna,” like HHReloaded. “The sentiment, though, remains and if you agree to give him creative license, then, it’s a dope, rewind-worthy set of lyrics.” But then if you slow down and think about how the ‘g’ and the ‘n’ connect, you realize they work in conjunction to make the pronunciation of the word come together so it takes the sting out of the line,” he says. “A cursory listen and the line comes off clever. “If we start being technical with lyrics, then we’ll have to void a lot of these rappers’ punchlines,” he adds, giving the example of Keith Murray’s line, “I’m gonna get you sucker like Damon Wayans.” “It was Keenan,” he says, “but no one cared.” ![]() An apparently confused Questlove from The Roots posted on his Twitter page, “real g’s moves in silence like lasagna” -lil wayne. |
